Many actions begin by selecting an account. For example, in order to update an account, change the fund source or case manager, or adjust a budget, you must first select an account.
This tutorial describes how to find and select an account.
If the account you are looking for is assigned to you, you can find it from the Case Management Home page.
Click on My Support Accounts or My Training Accounts, whichever applies, in order to view a list of accounts assigned to you. This will open the My Training Accounts page or the My Support Accounts page.
Click View to the left of the account you wish to select. The View Account page will open.
Since accounts are linked to participants, you can use Quick Search to locate the individual associated with the account you hope to find. This method is most useful if you wish to find accounts associated with a particular participant or accounts which are assigned to another case manager.
Quick Search is found in the upper right corner of each page in the Case Management module. Quick Search consists of a dropdown list, where you select the type of search you wish to conduct, and a text field for entering search criteria.
Use the dropdown list to choose how you would like to search: by the participant's first name, last name, or social security number.
Enter the participant's name or social security number and click Search. This will open the Select Participant page which contains a list of participants matching your search criteria.
Hint: An asterisk (*) can be used as a placeholder or wild card anywhere in the search term to denote any number of characters. For example, if you choose to search by first name and enter jo* you may find participants with first names including Jo, Joanna, Jonas, Jose, and Josie. If you enter Jo you will only find participants named Jo. A question mark can be used as a placeholder or wild card anywhere in the search term to denote a single character. The search is not case-sensitive, so you do not need to capitalize names.
Select the desired participant by clicking View, which will open the View Participant page.
The View Participant page displays details and links to each account connected with the participant viewed. Click View this Support Account or View this Training Account to view a particular account.
Hint: You can also view closed accounts by clicking View Closed Training Accounts at the bottom of the page. This will open the Participant Training Accounts page, where you can select the account you wish to view.
Congratulations. You have found and selected an account. The View Account page will open.
