Using Quick Search to find an existing participant

Participants are the primary means for accessing and managing accounts. A participant is a single person, sometimes described as a client. Many different accounts, both training and support, and open, closed or on hold, may be linked to one participant. Quick Search is the most common way to find an existing participant.

This tutorial describes how to use Quick Search to find an existing participant.

To search for a participant:

Hint: An asterisk (*) can be used as a placeholder or wild card anywhere in the search term to denote any number of characters. For example, if you choose to search by first name and enter jo* you may find participants with first names including Jo, Joanna, Jonas, Jose, and Josie. If you enter Jo you will only find participants named Jo. A question mark (?) can be used as a place holder or wild card to denote a single character. The search is not case-sensitive, so you do not need to capitalize names.

Hint: If you find that the participant you are searching for has not been entered into Gazelle yet, follow the breadcrumbs to return to the Case Management Home page and choose Add a Participant to add them to the system.

Congratulations. You have used Quick Search to find an existing participant. The View Participant page will open.
